After Christmas Musings
 
My mother had nicknames for her children. Mine was Little Mar and Emmy Lou. I was tall but extremely thin when I was young. I was also sick a lot. Mama called me Emmy Lou because my middle name was Lou (which I did not like). She called me that because there was a teenage comic strip named Emmy Lou in the newspaper. You can look it up on-line.
 
Featured in this blog are her “after Christmas musings” in her own handwriting. Sometimes her poems were funny and sometimes serious. But they all have truth (or sarcasm) in them. I will let you figure that out. I have three more that will be included in later postings.
